Two companies of Pakistan army cross Kushiara River and attack Sutarkandi and Borogram in Sylhet. Freedom fighters led by Captain Rob make counter attack. This conflict became known as ‘Battle of Sutarkandi’. 39 Pakistan soldiers are killed in the battle. On the other hand, two freedom fighters are held by the Pakistan soldiers.

  • Two companies of Pakistan army cross Kushiara River and attack Sutarkandi and Borogram in Sylhet. Freedom fighters led by Captain Rob make counter attack. This conflict became known as ‘Battle of Sutarkandi’. 39 Pakistan soldiers are killed in the battle. On the other hand, two freedom fighters are held by the Pakistan soldiers.

 

  • Pakistan soldiers, on their way back to base after looting Ballavpur Church in Kushtia, are attacked by the freedom fighters. 27 Pakistan soldiers are killed and 5-6 injured in this assault that lasted for almost an hour. Muktibahini seize a jeep and some weapon.
