Jamaat-e-Islami East Pakistan ameer Ghulam Azam says in Lahore that the Jamaat activists are the main victim of Indian associates (Muktibahini). They are losing their lives for rivaling separatists (Awami League). Only Jamaat-e-Islami is battling the miscreants in every parts of the province.

- Major Jafar Imam and his troops kill 24 Pakistan soldiers attacking their camp in Chiyara village. Others manage to flee the scene.
- An ambush team of Muktibahini attacks a Pakistani boat at Senerbazar and kills seven. Others manage to flee.
