  • Indian government urges the European Common Market to extend help for the Bangladeshi refugees in India. They also urge for 311,000 tonnes of rice, 175,000 tonnes of wheat, 50,000 tonnes of sugar, 187,000 tonnes of lentil, 40,000 tonnes of salt, 8,300 tonnes of powdered milk and 434,000 pieces of blankets from ECM.

 

  • CMPLA General Yahya Khan orders ousting of KK Panni, Pakistani ambassador to the Philippine, Councilor Humayun Rashid Chowdhury in India, Second Secretary AM Mustafizur Rahman in Kathmandu for their loyalty to Bangladesh.

 

  • The US will support steps taken by India and Pakistan on mitigation of heat in the region, but will not take any step in this regard.

 

  • Muktibahini attack a group of Pakistan troops, supported by a faction of Razakars, near Agra Pukur area in Rajshahi. 10 troops and a few Razakars are killed in the battle. A freedom fighter is martyred.
