  • Muktibahini attack Alamdanga Pakistan army base in Kushtia. Pakistan troops fire back in retaliation. 17 Pakistan soldiers killed and two freedom fighters are martyred. In another skirmish in Alamdanga, a Pakistani ranger, 19 Razakars and a Pakistani cop are killed by the Muktibahini fighters.

 

  • Seven Pakistan soldiers are killed in a Muktibahini ambush at Aarial area in Sylhet.

 

  • At Sector No. 2, Muktibahini kill eight Pakistan military men in an ambush. In another incident, four Pakistan troops are killed and five injured in Chailashia region.

 

  • At Sector No. 4, Muktibahini attack Pakistan army at Juri-Goalbari region and kill five Pakistan soldiers and a Razakar.

 

  • Seven Pakistan troops are killed at sector No. 1 when a platoon of freedom fighters ambushes them.

 

  • At sector No.7, two companies of Muktibahini assisted by Indian BSF attack Rajarampur Pakistan army base. 10 army men along with an officer. 60 Razakars are killed in the attack. Also, 12 Razakars arrested. Seven freedom fighters are martyred.

  • French President Georges Pompidou and West Germany Chancellor Willy Brandt sends emergency letters to Pakistan President General Yahya Khan.

 

  • Returning from China, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto says that Pakistan is not alone anymore. China will extend its complete support to them.
