Sheikh Mujib taken to Rawalpindi as Bhutto id trying to construct a confederation between Bangladesh and Pakistan, reports Hindustan Standard from its London bureau. Bhutto also invites US and Chinese representatives for the meeting. 22 other countries are ready to recognise Bangladesh as an independent and sovereign state.

  • Sheikh Mujib taken to Rawalpindi as Bhutto id trying to construct a confederation between Bangladesh and Pakistan, reports Hindustan Standard from its London bureau. Bhutto also invites US and Chinese representatives for the meeting. 22 other countries are ready to recognise Bangladesh as an independent and sovereign state.

 

  • Shamsuddin Mollah, secretary of Faridpur Awami League, in a statement, demands justice against the Razakars and their atrocities. He demands of a special tribunal for it. It was the primary target of the Pakistanmilitary and their collaborators to cripple Bangladesh by killing its intellectuals, he says. Eminent journalists Sirajuddin Hossain, Shahidullah Kaiser, Nizamuddin Ahmad, Syed Nazmul Haq, SA Mannan, Golam Mostafa, Prof Munir Chowdhury of Dhaka University, Prof Mofazzal Haydar Chowdhury and many others were the victims of this fiendish crime of the Pakistani military  and their collaborators.
