  • In order to free Barisal from the enemy occupation, Major Jalil starts his journey from Shamshernagar in India towards Bangladesh along with MP Nurul Islam Monjur, Lt. Naser, 40 soldiers and ample weapons and ammunitions on 2 launches. As their launches reach near Gabura Char on the bank of Kopotaksha River, Pakistan soldiers attack them on gun-boats. 26 freedom fighters including MP Mohiuddin and Advocate Sarder Jalal arrested and the 2 launches destroyed along with the weapons and ammunitions.

 

  • Fierce clash break out between Muktibahini and Pakistan forces at Ramgarh border in Chittagong.

 

  • In Pirojpur, Pakistan forces, with the assistance of their agents, arrest supporters of Liberation War SDO Abdur Razzak, Deputy Magistrate Mizanur Rahman, and SDPO Faizur Rahman.
