On the other side of the Buriganga River Pakistani forces attack innocent refugees. In the span of a few hours Pakistani armed forces kill hundreds and burned down villages after villages. Keraniganj is looted and many women are raped. This heinous incident is known as the Keraniganj Genocide in the history of the Liberation war.

  • On the other side of the Buriganga River Pakistani forces attack innocent refugees. In the span of a few hours Pakistani armed forces kill hundreds and burned down villages after villages. Keraniganj is looted and many women are raped. This heinous incident is known as the Keraniganj Genocide in the history of the Liberation war.

 

  • The curfew of 6am to 6pm in Dhaka is loosened.

 

  • Retired Major M.T Hossain goes from Dhaka to Thakurgaon to join Liberation forces.

 

  • Pakistani forces shell the freedom fighters on the Teesta bridge. Not facing any resistance from the Liberation forces the Pak forces advance. Once they are close the freedom fighters, they counter attack with grenades killing several in the process.
